Venue Guide: Studio2

Studio2 AKA Parr Street Studios is a must play for any new act embarking on a UK tour. Here’s what you need to know about one of Liverpool’s funkiest small venues.

Address: 33-45 Parr St, Liverpool L1 4JN, UK

Telephone number: +44 151 709 6092

Brief History:

Believe it or not: Studio2 was originally a music studio! I know, with a name like that shocker right? The likes of Coldplay, Take That, The Coral and The Zutons recorded here before it was converted in to a music venue. It’s a pretty cool spot to watch a gig, as it was a studio – you know the sound will be perfect. To top it off: the former control room is now the bar and they have kept the neon “On Air” sign.

How many people does it hold?

Who has played there?

Nothing But Thieves, Dog is Dead, The Hunna, Ratboy, Declan Mckenna, Nick Waterhouse, Modern Baseball to name a few.

What’s booked?

Will Joseph Cook, Blaenavon, Boston Manor, King No-one, Pierce Brothers, Cattle & Cane, Dan Owen and many more.

How do I get there?

Lucky for you: Studio2 is in an ideal location – just a five minute walk from Liverpool Central Station.

Where should I eat?

Leaf on Bold Street is big on tea, coffee and will cater to all of your dining needs.

Camp and Furnace on Greenland Street also has you covered for brunch, lunch and dinner.

Where can I stay?

TicketWeb tip:

Come along to a show – even if you don’t know the artist playing. It’s a great opportunity to see potential superstars in an intimate setting, early on in their career. On the off chance the performance isn’t great – you won’t mind because it’s absolute vibesville in there.

Where can you carry on the party?

The Arts Club on Hotham Street put on pumping club nights that will keep you partying all night long.
