Brief History

Formerly known as The Barfly, Camden Assembly is one of London’s most iconic venues and an integral part of Camden’s music scene that’s seen more bands play its stage than you could even begin to contemplate. After falling a bit behind other venues in recent times, the venue was taken over by new ownership in 2016 and extensively remodeled, rightly becoming one of the best places to catch live music in the capital and even just a brilliant lively place to grab a beer and/or burger in North London.

How many people does it hold? 400

Who has played there? The KillersLaura Marling, Warpaint, Kasabian, Jessie J, Maximo Park, The 1975, Suede, Keane, The Courteeners, The Horrors, Jamie T, Coldplay, Foals, Muse, Kate Nash, The Libertines, Bloc Party and thousands more…

Any “I was there” moments?

The biggest pop star on the planet did this at the venue back in 2011.

How do I get there?

The venue is a short walk from Chalk Farm, Camden Town (Northern Line) and Camden Road (Overground) stations.

Where should I eat?

The venue serves Lucky Chip Burgers which I am personally a huge fan of! See below…

The venue takes submissions from new bands and regularly gives them a chance to play there. If you’re a budding artist, submit your music here.

Where can you carry on the party?

Camden Assembly stays open late all week so you can stay there drinking their fine array of craft beers.
