Here's everything you need to know about the brilliant multi-room venue in Brighton ...
Delivering positive vibes 7 days a week at their 3 London venues. Live music, delicious Texan BBQ & Cajun food and late night DJs – what more could you need?
In a modern musical world drowning in drum machines and computerised instrumentation, sometimes it’s easy to forget how thrilling it is to see a live band … playing real instruments … in the same room as you … LIVE.
There’s always top quality, floor-filling DJ’s soundtracking each night, the main draw of each Blue’s Kitchen venue, however, is the genre-spanning live music performances. Expect everything from sensation singers, elaborate jazz arrangements, extended drum breaks, brass sections, saxophone solos, stage dives and everything in between.
Camden – 111-113 Camden High St, London NW1 7JN
Shoreditch – 134-146 Curtain Rd, London EC2A 3AR
Brixton – 40 Acre Ln, Brixton, London SW2 5SP
How many people does it hold?
Who has played there?
Seasick Steve, Gary Clark Jr, Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, Mud Morganfield, The Libertines, Kitty, Daisy & Lewis, Huey Morgan, Andrew Weatherall, Mystery Jets, and The Jim Jones Revue.
Have there been any “I was there” moments?
The special rendition events that they do at all three of their venues are always spectacular. Paying tribute and reliving music from artists who are no longer around with top UK talent always goes down well.
How do I get there?
Camden – 4 min walk from Camden Town Tube Station and an 8 min walk from Camden Road Overground Station.
Shoreditch – 6 min walk from Old Street Tube Station.
Brixton – 6 min walk from Brixton Tube Station.
Where should I eat?
At The Blues Kitchen! They are a restaurant and late night bar in Camden, Shoreditch and Brixton hosting the best blues in London. Serving some great American BBQ classics and New Orleans soul food.
What to order at the bar?
Camden – Burnt Pear Old Fashioned (Maker’s Mark, Burnt Pear, apple liqueur, Angostura bitters)
Shoreditch – The Columbo (Bulleit Rye, Campari, Peychaud bitters, Absinthe, lemon oils)
Brixton – Marmalade Cup (Four Roses, grapefruit liqueur, lemon juice, marmalade, egg white, sage, peach bitters)
Best place to stand?
We’d always recommend getting right to the front of the stage! Obviously, if you want a break they also have seating with dinner and drinks where you can also enjoy the music!
All three venues are wheelchair accessible.
Where can you carry on the party?
We’d recommend the following late-night haunts. You can thank us later!
Camden – The Jazz Cafe, Camden Assembly
Shoreditch – XOYO
Brixton – Phonox
