Brief History

Archspace is in its exciting youthful stage – it’s still quite a young venue only open for a year. As well as live music events, you may have heard of the venue from holding various different types of events such as Nightspot cinema where hand-picked films can be enjoyed in a greatly unique venue.

How many people does it hold?

200

Who has played there?

Having featured intimate shows with the likes of Machinedrum, Daedelus, Andrew Ashong, Lapalux, Inga Copeland, XL Records, Teebs, Shigeto, GoGo Penguin and more, this is a venue that truly punches above its modest weight.

Have there been any “I was there” moments?

A few special moments came from an Alfa Mist sold-out show, they produced an electrifying, unforgettable live performance in July. More recently Roots Manuva came through with a big show during his UK tour – perfoming in front of a huge mural of his face spray painted earlier that day.

How do I get there?

Archspace is a short walk from Hoxton and Haggerston train stations. It’s also well serviced by bus routes. If you’re coming from either Hackney or Angel – a walk along the canal is usually a pleasant route, especially in summer.

Where should I eat?

Dukes Brew and Que is a leisurely 5-minute stroll from Archspace and it does excellent munch.

Where can I stay?

Can’t go wrong with a bitta Airbnb

Ticketweb Tip:

This is the venue to see the artists you love – the funky, up-close-and-personal setting and high-quality sound should be taken advantage of, from a fan’s perspective as it’s likely that said artists will move on to bigger, less intimate venues.

Where can you carry on the party?

Archspace is in one of the most happening locations in London – there’ll be late night bars and clubs in walking distance, or you can expand just a little to the likes of Dalston, Islington, Hackney and Shoreditch – you can’t go wrong.
