Gigs Of The Week
The Grace is a self-contained new music venue and late-night night-club very close to The Garage, next to Highbury Corner.
Address: 20-22 Highbury Corner, N5 1RD, London
Telephone Number: 020 7619 6721
Opening in September 2019, The Grace is a new venue from the team behind London’s The Garage and Oslo and Thekla in Bristol.
The two-floor venue features a laid back pub downstairs with a live music space upstairs, hosting some of the best emerging artists in the country.
How many people does it hold?
Who has played there?
Originally opening as Upstairs At The Garage, artists who have played the venue in its original guise include Jeff Buckley, The Killers, Sheryl Crow, Mogwai and Grimes.
How do I get there?
The gig space couldn’t be closer to Highbury & Islington train station – this is your best shout in terms of travelling to and from the gig.
Where Should I Eat?
Upper Street has hundreds of great spots to eat. Stroll along here and you’ll find an array of culinary choices to suit everyone’s needs.
Meat Liquor is a personal favourite for us here at Ticketweb.
Where can I stay?
Air BnB is probably the best call. Make sure to check Arsenal FC’s fixtures surrounding the time of your stay. You may have to branch out a bit due to high demand if there’s a big match on in The Emirates.
There’s a new groovy pub downstairs, head to the show early and sip a few lager beers beforehand.
The stage is basically a part of the pit/dance floor. When the artists request you move closer DO IT! Get up close and personal with the performers and let loose – you never know if the act you’re seeing will go on to do huge things.
Where can you carry on the party?
The venue stays open until 2am Monday to Thursday and 4am on Friday and Saturday. So kick it in the venue itself until the early morning – maximum fun, minimum hassle.
Aside from that, you can always hit up Slim Jims or if you’re on a real mad one, Fabric is a short Uber ride away.
