We had a chat with Janet Planet of Confidence Man ahead of what we believe will be a massive year for the group.
What has been your highlight of 2017?
Definitely playing Glastonbury in the first year of being a band. Everyone got down, just we told them to.
What does 2018 have in store for you?
We’ll be releasing our debut record early next year, so definitely more touring in Europe and the UK with new songs from the record. We’ll also be working on an even bigger live show and heading to the US for the first time.
What is your favourite thing about playing live?
I love dancing, but I’m not a typically good dancer. So having somewhere I can dance where people think my moves are intentionally bad is the best thing ever.
How would you describe your sound in one sentence?
Adams Family electro with satanic bee-keeper beats.
Who was the first band or artist you saw live?
I think it might have actually been 50 Cent. Which is a bit weird for me. I left after ‘In Da Club’ though.
What venue would you absolutely love to headline?
Paradiso in Amsterdam. We played there a little while ago in the smaller room and the venue is awesome. Would love to come back to do the main room!
What artist would you love to tour with?
Groove Armada or Scissor Sisters.
