Ones To Watch 18: Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever Q&A

Say hello to slacker-indie 5-piece making noise down under and beyond!

Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever are rolling swiftly into the new year, they filled us in on a few things ahead of a huge 2018.

What has been your highlight of 2017?

2017 marked our first time overseas as a band. There were plenty of great experiences but surviving SXSW and making it to NYC to play The Bowery Ballroom was pretty special.

What is your favourite thing about playing live?

I love the thrill of making a big noise and creating something in the moment. I also love when there’s blue cheese and mini toasts backstage.

What artist would you love to tour with?

I’m taking the liberty of using time travel here. I’m going to say Joe Cocker on the Mad Dogs and Englishmen tour. That would have been a crazy time, I reckon.

What venue would you absolutely love to headline?

The Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne would feel pretty good. Though I can clearly be drawn to any venue by an offer of cheese.

What does 2018 have in store for you?

More new music, more touring. All the fun stuff.

No doubt you’ll be hearing much more from Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever in the new year. Read our Introducing piece to learn more about Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever here.
