Listen up, you all need Horsebeach’s beautiful brand of intoxicating, out of this world, guitar pop flooding into your ears right now… trust us.
For anyone who was at Glastonbury and is in a state of shock being reintroduced to reality, or for those of you who missed out and have festival blues as a result, there is no better music to listen to right now. I give you Horsebeach the Manchester men whose masterful, melancholic melodies will melt the pain away.
Similar to Kevin Parker of Tame Impala – Ryan Kennedy is a multi-instrumentalist who has written all of the songs, played the majority of the instruments and concocted the arrangements for both Horsebeach albums on his own. The incredible live performance is brought to life by the invaluable Matt Booth (Backing Vocals, Drums), Tom Featherstone (Guitar) and Tom Critchley (Bass). Alongside Kevin they are a formidable live act. Kennedy (pictured below) created and produced the debut self-titled album in his Manchester flat, and we think you will agree he smashed it.

Horsebeach the album was a slow burner to begin with as there was barely any press behind it because of the low key manner in which it was produced. Having been released in 2014 it was eventually given the recognition it deserved and made it into Picadilly Records top 20 in 2015. The dreamy “Faded Eyes” is the lead track from the album:

The new album named “ll” is another brilliant piece of work; it’s bigger and bolder and has been received with open arms by critics and fans alike after a considerable amount of hype, especially among the Manchester music scene. You have listened to lead track “It’s Alright” (top) but nearly every song is as good as the last on the album, we believe it is the most appropriate chill out music ever, Horsebeach appears on a popular spotify playlist called “Music For Dreams” and it’s easy to see why. Get swept away by “Let You Down” (below).

Aside from being overwhelmingly relaxing, there are also pop belters thrown in to both albums for good measure. The band are captivating live with notable chemistry and intricate instrumentals on show throughout the performance.
