If we could bathe in the music of anyone right now it would be Blooms. Blissed-out and ethereal electronic-waves are the order of the day here and they have never sounded better. There’s no shortage of fiercely independent female talent right now (we’re talking FKA Twigs, Tei Shai, & TĀLĀ et al) but Blooms’ decision to appear only fleetingly within her own videos points to the confidence of an artist determined to let her music speak for itself.

“If I” is taken from the deeply personal “If” EP which dropped midway through last year but new material is already appearing. New track “Fall” (produced by Gil Lewis & previous collaborator Kobina) is just one example and holds promise that Blooms (AKA Louise Cunnane) still has plenty more in the tank.
