White Fever are: Ida Jacobsson-Wells (vocals/guitar), Seán O’Reilly (guitar), Joe Donaldson (bass/backing vocals) and Josh Williams (drums).
White Fever make enticing indie-pop with a malevolent edge. They’re a tight musical outfit specialising in post-punk tinged driving guitars and basslines, the sound is rounded off beautifully with Jacobson-Well’s haunting vocal. If you’re into Radiohead or Beach House or even Fleetwood Mac then you’re in a prime position to catch the White Fever.
Clash Magazine aptly describe White Fever’s sound as “Darkly glamourous Pop music” it’s incredibly endearing. See for yourself – “Sands” opens the excellent Concrete EP releases last year.
The Anglo-Scandinavian quartet all played in different bands once upon a time and were drawn together by mutual musical tastes and a creative drive. White Fever have always had a passion for cinema and past musical eras – they’ve continued to put a contemporary twist on these interests in their own music, releasing three short EPs since 2014.
The Beating Of Wings EP put them on the map just over three years ago, earning them critical acclaim and announcing White Fever on the Indie scene. They’ve developed their sound to great effect since then leading us up to late last year when they revealed Concrete to their excited fanbase.
“Everyone’s Got Their Price” is the second single from 2017’s Concrete EP.
“The Killing Kind” has had almost 1 million streams on Spotify. Check out the video:
