Introducing: Her’s

Her’s are a self-proclaimed “International supersonic spectral wave Liverpool band.” The Dream-Pop duo are reinventing chill with a guitar, bass and drum machine. You need them in your life!

Who?

Stephen Fitzpatrick originally from Barrow in Furness, accompanied by Audun Laading who hails from Norway.

The Sound

Every term from Jangle-Pop and 80’s Beach-Scuzz to radiant slacker Pop has been used to describe the unlikely Merseyside mates. The Line Of Best Fit describe Her’s sound as “a refreshing cocktail of British indie, tropical beach wave, and sumptuous slacker rock.”

Take what you will from all that. I think sometimes they can sound like a particularly sedated Julian Casablancas but you have to hear them and make up your own mind.

The Story

The unlikely connection between Norway and Furness came about when the pair met for the first time in Liverpool as students. Stephen and Audun instantly hit it off and it’s clear that they are still the best of friends, loving life breaking in to the music scene with their first real go at it.

They made a huge splash with their debut singles “Dorothy” and “What Once Was” released in 2016, the latter has been streamed on Spotify over a million times. Tastemakers in the industry saw that these lads were on to something good from word go. DIY wrote “One thing’s for sure – this is one of the best debuts we’ve heard for quite some time”

Another single “Marcel” came soon after, again garnering critical acclaim and huge streaming stats. The band have a signature sound and solid fan base already – and they still haven’t even released a debut EP!

Essential Tracks

“Marcel” has also had over 1 million plays on Spotify, it’s easy to see why – hit play.

Check out the visuals for “Speed Racer” below, the track was released last month and I believe it widens the scope of where Her’s can take their sound.

Where can I see them live?
