London duo Blue Lab Beats are key in the growing London jazz scene.
After a string of catchy singles, APRE are hitting the road with Sea Girls then heading off on their own UK headline tour as well as a bunch of UK and international festivals. 2019 is going to be BUSY for the duo.
You can trace APRE’s origins to the backroom of a West London chess club where the club owner Sue brought the guys together. Co-producers Charlie and Jules hint at noughties indie from Foals and Mystery Jets, to their obvious ’80s influences in the form of The Police and Tears for Fears, with the more contemporary Jungle thrown in for good measure. Mix that with off-beat drums and some funky bass and you’re about there.
The Live Show
Donning their trademark red jackets and jumping straight in, APRE take you on a tour of their musical influences and get their crowd warmed up quickly with a few of their catchiest tracks. For a new band, they’re experienced beyond their years and offer a full and thick sounding catalogue that invites you to catch every minute of the show.
GAP YEAR 2008 “is about getting away from reality to find yourself, but realising you were better off where you were” say the band. We say it’s a great blend of acoustic with the band’s electronic side.
Where can I see APRE live?
Apre are currently supporting Sea Girls on their UK tour, then they’re embarking on a headline tour of their own after which they’re bound for the festival circuit.
