After 15 years as a band, Cumbria indie rockers Wild Beasts have decided to call it quits. The four-piece announced the news in a statement via their social channels on Monday morning. Wild Beasts released five studio albums over the past decade. The band’s second album, 2009’s Two Dancers earned them a Mercury Prize nomination and their latest record Boy King peaked at number nine in the UK album charts.
The band will release the ‘Punk Drunk and Trembling’ EP next month. The EP consists of 3 tracks from their Boy King recording sessions. Fans will be able to get their digital copy on 30 October. Listen to the EP’s lead track below;
A force live, Wild Beasts spent the last summer touring the festival circuit and wowing audiences at Glastonbury, NOS Alive, Citadel, Secret Garden Party and loads more. Don’t miss your final chance to see the band at their farewell shows early next year.
