This Week’s Best Gigs… 27 Feb 2017

We’ve scoured the listings to bring you 7 shows this week that we think are definitely worth going to, best of all, they all (at time of writing) still have tickets available. 

Monday – Neon Waltz @ The Hope and Ruin, Brighton 

The super-talented indie rockers whose tune “Dreamers” (below) will have you humming along instantly. They head to Brighton as part of their Spring tour.

Tuesday- De La Soul @ O2 Academy Leeds 
De La Soul need no introduction… but we’ll give them one anyway. The legendary hip-hop outfit are bringing the party to UK shores this month.

Wednesday – Kehlani @ O2 ABC Glasgow 

Kehlani is about to become a superstar. The Oakland singer/songwriter has been racking up the streams and her debut album earned her a Grammy nomination.

Thursday – The Handsome Family @ Union Chapel, London 

Husband and wife duo Brett and Rennie Sparks make gothic-tinged country rock from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Catch them performing songs from their latest record Unseen.  Plus, support comes from the amazing Courtney Marie Andrews, her new album “Honest Life” is one of our favourites of the year so far – check it out here.

Friday – VANT @ O2 Institute Birmingham 

Fresh from releasing their excellent debut album Dumb Blood, you’d be a fool to miss UK rockers VANT when they tour the UK this month!

Saturday – Alice Jemima @ Soup Kitchen, Manchester 
The singer/songwriter/producer from Devon is signed to Sunday Best Recordings and makes super cool indie electro pop. Her hotly anticipated debut album comes out the day before on Friday 3 March.

Sunday – Toothless @ The Hope and Ruin, Brighton 

Bombay Bicycle Club bass player Ed Nash brings his excellent new project Toothless to Brighton on Sunday. A must see!
