Who to watch at SXSW 2018 – Day 1 (March 12th 2018)

We're easing ourselves into SXSW 2018 with 4 very different flavours...

Catholic Action
10:00pm – 10:40pm, British Music Embassy @ Latitude 30

Glaswegian 4-piece rock outfit Catholic Action play for our mates DIY Magazine at the British Music Embassy – a home from home for Brits abroad at South By.

Check out UK dates for Catholic Action at ticketweb.co.uk/catholicaction

Dan Deacon
11:45pm – 12:30am, Empire Garage

Domino Records’ “electronic-music iconoclast” Dan Deacon is one of the world’s great enigmas. Part bedroom producer, part orchestral composer is likely to produce one of South By’s most engaging shows.

LIFE
1:00am – 1:40am, British Music Embassy @ Latitude 30

Back to the British Music Embassy for Hull’s LIFE. The most punk, most DIY band in the world right now. We’ll be getting totally of our face and listening to popular music. That’s a quote BTW.

Josh T. Pearson
1:00am – 1:50am, The Sidewinder Inside

We’ve got our first clash of the week and it’s only day one! The last of the country gentlemen Josh T. Pearson is back with a new album. Whilst he’s trimmed the locks, the bone-dry wit with which he tackles some of life’s more challenging subjects remains intact. It’s just now you can dance to it as well. Bonus.
