Last single ‘Honey’ won the group support from the likes of Clash Magazine, Gigslutz and BBC Introducing Solent and was the kind of math-rock guitar, indie-dancefloor groover that would get the likes of Foals and the Maccabees in a bit of a disco lather.
Now new single ‘Running’ sees the boys sporting their best synth hooks and searing guitars once more. The song boasts a pounding bassline just the right side of a slapfest while an urgent stop/start chorus reveals a band already possessing their own distinctive voice and clearly destined for big things.
A must-listen for fans of Marsicans and Wild Front. The video sees Arcade Hearts getting down and dirty in a local multi-storey carpark, which only goes to show that their music really is on another level. Natch.
