Launching in 1992, The Wedgewood Rooms has been key in bringing cutting-edge music and comedy to the city of Portsmouth. The venue is located in the heart of the community of Southsea, and in its old guise, used to act as a community hub and function room for local people to enjoy.
Attached to the venue is the 100 capacity Edge Of The Wedge space, which gives locals the opportunity to perform at a venue on their doorstep and hone their craft.
The list of bands who have played the venue on their way to superstardom is staggering, and The Wedge (as its commonly referred to) is spoken about in high regard by those who have played there.
