TicketWeb @ Wireless Festival 2016: The 5 Best Things We Saw

We spent our weekend in the lush surroundings of Finsbury Park, taking in the sunshine and some of the best artists that the world has to offer right now! Here are our five favourites.

Craig David

The most unpredictable comeback of the year continued in a big way, with Southampton’s Craig David bringing his TS5 club night to the Saturday afternoon at Wireless’ second stage. The tent was full to the brim and he kicked off with a one-two knockout punch of mega jams “Rewind” and “Fill Me In”. Ludicrous amounts of fun.

Lady Leshurr

If you’ve seen Lady Leshurr’s Queen Speech videos you’ll have known what to expect from one of the hottest MCs in the game right now. Her set contained ridiculous amounts of energy, sharp lyrics and sing-alongs aplenty. New single, the Wiley featuring “Where Are You Now?” closed a very impressive show.

Dua Lipa

There’s no doubt in my mind, Dua Lipa is on course to be an absolute superstar. You know how some people just carry themselves like a pop star? Dua Lipa has that presence about her. “Be The One” is a mammoth pop song and current single “Hotter Than Hell” might just be one of the sounds of the summer. She’s also just announced a new London show at KOKO. Find out how to get presale tix HERE.

Petite Meller

We’ve had a soft spot for the Parisian Jazzy Pop singer for a while now and included her in our ones to watch for this year. Drawing an enthusiastic crowd, Petite didn’t let us down. “Baby Love” will never fall to make you dance and new single “Milk Bath” makes us very excited about what the future has instore for her surely imminent debut album.

Anderson  .Paak

Sometimes the last day of a festival can feel a bit, meh. You’ve not been sleeping/eating properly for a few days and you need a pick me up. This is where Anderson Paak came into his own. Running on stage looking like he’d just drank six cans of Red Bull, the LA native did it all, rapping, singing, drumming and drumming while rapping and singing. A very special talent. If you haven’t heard his record Malibu you need to go and listen to it immediately!

Special Mention
Special shout out to Tom Grennan who killed it performing with Chase & Status on their Saturday night main stage headline set. I may have (yeah I had) run out of phone battery at this point. Here’s what it looked like.

Roll on Wireless 2017!
