The Treatment are stepping out on our #TW15 tour, so we caught up with them to get the lowdown on what they were doing in 1999 – our birth year – and what they were up to when they were 15, as well as some musical bits and bobs. You can read all about it below, and don’t forget to check out the full #TW15 tour, which features the likes of Johnny Marr, La Roux, Ella Eyre and loads more! It’s all here for you to feast your eyes on…
How did you celebrate your 15th Birthday?
I really can’t remember! My birthday is in the summer so we always used to have a BBQ so I probably did that with family and friends.
What were you up to in 1999?
In 1999 I was 8, so probably avoiding doing homework and riding my bike with my friends. I had just started getting into music though so I would have definitely been routing through my dads record collection and seeing bands like Deep Purple for the first time.
What was your favourite song in 1999?
I can remember hearing Lazy on the Made in Japan live album by Deep Purple when I was about that age so it would have probably been that.
How do you think music will sound in 15 years’ time?
I have no idea but I can hope that our kind of Rock n Roll is the big thing again and there is a whole bunch of massive rock band like back in the glory days.
How do you think humans will live in 15 years’ time?
I hope in a nicer world. Where we all get along and accept each other for who we are. Less poverty and war.
What’s your gig attendance history like…
Pretty good! I used to go to loads as a kid and I’d always be pestering my dad to take me to shows.
First gig?
The first one was Deep Purple and Lynyrd Skynyrd. The Darkness were supporting to just before the broke huge!
Last Gig?
It was at the Cambridge Corn Exchange to see The Cult
Favourite gig/club memory?
I think one of my favourites is the last Christmas show we did at Camden Underworld. It was crazy!
Favourite venue?
Hammersmith Odeon as it should still be called! its one of the most renowned venues in England and has so much history we love it1
Favourite band T-shirt?
You can’t beet the simple black AC/DC T-shirt with the red letters. Its just perfect.
TicketWeb last year, wearing our favourite band t-shirts (because we didn’t want to get in trouble for nicking a picture off someone else – you all know what the AC/DC t-shirt looks like, right?)
Your favourite thing about being at a gig/club?
The best thing is the closeness you feel with the crowed. Everyone getting sweaty together and having a good time
Are you a ticket hoarder?
I try to keep wrist bands and passes from shows but tag is the best at it, he has a whole collection of stuff!
Cheers guys! Don’t forget that you can see all of our #TW15 tour right here.
