If you’re not familiar with our TicketWeb Sessions, then allow us to get you in the know. We take some of the finest emerging artists, get them into The Imperial, the bar in the basement of our office, and get them to perform a stripped back, acoustic performance of one of their tracks. So far we’ve had the likes of Eugene McGuinness, John Power of Cast, The Subways, Frank Hamilton, Mikill Pane, The View and Andy Burrows, to name but a few!
The latest installment of our Sessions sees Belgian electro-pop artist, Oscar & The Wolf aka Max Colombie take centre stage on our fabled slide. Performing the track, Princes, which is the name he has given his band members, we are treated to a raw, emotional rendition of the song. When it was released in their native Belgium, it hit the top 20 and remained in the chart for nearly six months. Basically, these guys are killing it back in Belgium.
After taking the festival circuit by storm over the summer, with a headline slot at Pukkelpop and appearances all over mainland Europe, Max and his Princes have got their hearts set on UK domination. Princes was recorded in London and produced by Leo Abrahams, who’s worked with the likes of Brian Eno, David Byrne and Jon Hopkins, so it’s been in capable hands, and is on the latest album, Entity, which you can buy on iTunes through PIAS here! So, without further ado, here’s the Session…
Oscar & The Wolf play Electrowerkz on Thursday 20th November, you can find out more about that on their website, here.
