After a few days of teasing fans with the promise of new gigs, the standard bearers of Scottish Hip-Hop, Stanley Odd, have revealed a fresh new tour taking in Scotland’s finest cities as well as the idyllic Highland town of Ullapool. Read on for details of how you can get your hands on tickets for these unique shows!
Along with Young Fathers, Stanley Odd represent an incredible groundswell of quality urban music coming out of Scotland in recent years. If you’ve not heard of the band before you should know that comparisons being made to people like Jurassic 5 & Gill Scott-Heron are well founded. With influences as diverse as hard-core grime to folk you’re also going to hear shades of Mike Skinner’s The Streets too.
Here are the new dates…
01 April – Edinburgh, Sneaky Pete’s
02 April – Glasgow, Broadcast
09 April – Aberdeen, Downstairs
10 April – Ullapool, Ceilidh Place
The band will be making tickets exclusively available to fans on their mailing list from 9am Wednesday 4th March 2015 so sign-up now right HERE. (Reading this later? Tickets for the tour go on general sale 9am Friday 6th March right HERE).
The tour follows an incredible 2014 in which the band become the poster-stars for Scotland’s referendum debate. If the gigs are anything like the London shows we’ve seen then Solareye and Co. are going to be providing the tunes to a series of almighty block parties!
