Sam Smith has today announced details of his forthcoming UK tour, taking place in arenas early next year. Keep reading for all the info you need and to find out how to get your hands on presale tickets.
Who is Sam Smith?
Sam Smith is truly one of the music’s biggest stars. Since breaking through in 2012 as the featured artist on Disclosure’s single “Latch,” the London born singer has gone onto global fame, selling millions of albums worldwide.
Sam released his debut album In the Lonely Hour in 2014 to tremendous critical and commercial success. The album’s lyrical maturity and emotion were way beyond Smith’s relatively young age and the record spawned the hit singles “Money on My Mind”, “Like I Can” and the gargantuan break-up anthem “Stay with Me”.
In The Lonely Hour’s success cemented the singer’s place one of the biggest artists in the world and earned him multiple Brit and Grammy awards. Subsequently, Smith was chosen to compose the theme tune for the James Bond film “Spectre”. “Writing’s on the Wall”, written with frequent collaborator Jimmy Napes, earned the pair a Golden Globe and Academy Award.
After a prolonged absence from the spotlight, Sam Smith returned in 2017 with new single “Too Good at Goodbyes,” the first to be taken from his new record The Thrill of It All. The album is scheduled for release on 3 November 2017. The song was a global phenomenon, racking up millions of streams and peaking at number one on the UK singles chart. Watch the video below;
