The techno DJ, producer and label boss of Terminal M gives us her Saturday night playlist.
Jonnie Macaire and Harry Bass make up the producer/DJ duo known as Third Party. The professional party-starting pair are influenced by timeless 90’s vocal twists and classic 80’s elements.
So it’s only fitting then that Third Party have made us an exclusive playlist of their favourite classic Dance Anthems. Get your ears on the following 10 tracks ahead of the duo’s upcoming London gig. Third Party play The Gallery at Ministry Of Sound on 29 June, grab last remaining tickets here.
We’re beyond confident that the below playlist will have you buzzing for a dance by the weekend … take it away Third Party:
Rozalla – Everybody’s Free
Classic house vocal that we’ve used on our new single ‘Free’ … Such an iconic vocal hook that works so good out live in the clubs and festivals!
Livin Joy – Dreamer
Bit of UK classic here, we’ve thought about using it in the past but never quite finished it, maybe one day!
Robert Miles – Children
The late Robert Miles produced one of the most recognisable riffs in dance music, would be amazing to rework it someday!
Olive – You’re Not Alone
Incredible vocal that creates such a chilling vibe whenever you hear it, we always try to find a mashup to play with this one live.
Everything But The Girl – Missing
Not only is the vocal super recognisable, but the guitar accompany is the same if not more in terms of what it brings to the classic vibe of this track, love it!
Underworld – Born Slippy
What a song….. doesn’t need many words but would love to try and give this a modern twist, would probably be very hard as it has such a unique vibe.
Delerium – Silence ft. Sarah McLachlan
Tiesto already did this song justice but we would love to try and give it a go!
Modjo – Lady (Hear Me Tonight)
Not as old as the others songs we have chosen but still considered a classic, there have been a few recent reworks but nothing that stands up to the original.
Loleatta Holloway – Love Sensation
One of the most sampled vocals in house music, each time you revisit this song you find new parts to take and use, absolute sample weapon!
Kings of Tomorrow – Finally
You can chuck this acapella over almost any track and it always works, might be too hard to try and make an official remix as it’s such a classic!
There you have it folks, don’t forget to secure your tickets to see Third Party at Ministry Of Sound this Friday. You can get tickets to this gig and scout upcoming Third Party shows here: ticketweb.co.uk/thirdparty
