Music
The techno DJ, producer and label boss of Terminal M gives us her Saturday night playlist.
One of techno music’s most respected and enduring artists and DJs, Monika Kruse’s commitment and innate musical connection has kept her centre stage in the International festival and record label scene for the last 25 years. From trailblazing the dawn of German dance culture in the early 90’s, organising events in abandoned Munich WWII bomb shelters, to launching her revered Terminal M label in 2000, Monika stands as one of Europe’s leading techno pioneers.
The team at Egg have picked out her best Saturday night peaktime tunes.
Violet – Monika Kruse & Timmo
The first track to mention on this playlist is Monika Kruse collaboration with Drumcode’s Timmo. A heavy hitting peak time track definitely made to make you move on the dance floor! You can catch Timmo joining Monika Kruse on Saturday 7th March at Egg LDN for 20 Years of Terminal M.
Get Me On – Monika Kruse & Pig & Dan
Here Monika teams up with Pig & Dan on this euphoric track where you just want to close your eyes and feel the energy!
Spank Me Later – Monika Kruse
One of our favourite tracks from Monika which has that beat where you want to get down and dirty on the dance floor!
Wavedancer – Monika Kruse
Hitting the groove ‘Wavedancer’ continues to light up the dance floor and still to this day when you hear it drop the energy is unreal! When the bass line kicks in on the build up, you know its going to make you dance!
Summer Drops – Monika Kruse
This track must be 6 years old now, possibly more but it was one of the best tracks to come out in the late summer! A rolling vibe, with those tribal drums that gets you in the mood to book your ticket and head to Ibiza!
Well there you have it! Check out Monika’s upcoming shows on www.ticketweb.uk
