The artist who, up to now, has been mysteriously known as OWS has just issued an amazing triple announcement; premiering the video for Waterline via Vevo, announcing details of his first ever live shows and lifting the lid on his true identity…
Ever since the brilliant Waterline featuring Pusha-T dropped late last year the internet has been rife with rumor – who is OWS? The single received some real plaudits when it debuted exclusively on Jay-Z’s blog Life & Times with MTV & SBTV both dubing the track “sensational”. It also stoked in the interest of Kanye West and his G.O.O.D Music label as well as receiving some extensive spins on the jukebox at TicketWeb HQ too!
On the evening that Vevo will premiere the track’s slick video, OWS has revealed himself as Oritsé Williams – the brains behind the multi-platinum selling JLS. It’s pretty cool to see an artist from a mainstream background challenging people’s preconceptions and taking his music in a global direction.
At the same time, details of OWS’s debut live performances have also been announced with Ortise taking to the stage for the first time as a solo artist at the legendary SXSW music conference in Austin, Texas (16th – 22nd March 2015 ) before making his live UK debut at OSLO, London on Wednesday 25th March 2015).
