Ones To Watch – Prides

If you haven’t heard of Prides by now then where have you been? These Glaswegian sythnpoppers have been making waves this year, gearing up for a big splash in 2015. If you like your pop music anthemic, upbeat and electronic with a nod to the 80s, Prides are the guys for you. After performing in their home city of Glasgow at the Commonwealth Games closing ceremony, which was broadcasted to 7.5 million people (not including the 40,000 people inside the stadium) and supporting heroes Blink 182 at O2 Academy Brixton, it seems almost obvious that these chaps are destined for big things.

We’ve been watching Prides grow over 2014, we even went to see them support Foxes at KOKO back in May, but they’ve been doing music for ten years and used to play pop punk, so their toes have been dipped in the musical pool for longer than they’ve been on our radar. With three singles already out in the open and a promise for so much more, we’re really excited to see what the future holds for Prides.
