Personally, I’ve still not forgiven my sister for taping over my Kurt Cobain documentary, but for the members of The Jacques, sibling relations are harmonious. Hailing from Bristol, brothers Oliver, Elliot, Jake & Fin Jacque are attracting a storm of attention from the likes of XFM & the NME who’ve each touted the band for greatness having spotted a healthy Libertines influence emanating from these young bucks. In fact they have direct lineage to Britpop royalty as one of the first signees to Libertines’ drummer Gary Powell’s 25 Hour Convenience Store label.
The band are set to release their new single “Weekends”on the 23rd of February 2015. It’s the 2nd track to be taken from their critically acclaimed Pretty DJ EP which you can listen to below. And you should!

Le frêres Jacques made their live London debut in Hyde Park last summer and have subsequently embarked on a comprehensive tour of the UK’s underground venue scene making friends wherever they’ve plugged in. Following another incendiary performance at The Barfly for XFM’s All-Dayer last month the lads have just confirmed that they’ll be returning to the Camden landmark for their first ever headline show in the capital on the 29th of April 2015 –
