New Music: The Greasy Slicks

Rock ‘n’ Roll, just Rock ‘n’ Roll & none of that pyro nonsense…

The Greasy Slicks are Jack Kendrew, Rian O’Grady and Nathan Rasdall and count The Temperance Movement, Led Zepplin & Rival Sons as some of their biggest influences and you can really hear the contemporary blues rock scene in their own sound. Whilst studying music at Uni in Guildford the lads experimented in loads of bands but really hit it off when the 3 of them came together. Moving in to the same house gave them a plenty of time to really hone their sound. That house also contained TicketWeb’s very own Tom S – that’s how committed we are to finding new bands!

Since we’re friends of the band we invited them to play in the office. Cool, huh?  The band who saved us from the bland reality of cheese sandwiches and a packet of crisps.

Here they are at TicketWeb HQ >

And here’s us asking them a few questions…

We can also exclusively reveal their debut video for Eyes Wide Black, directed by Mark Waring, who has previously worked with the likes of Plan B & Paolo Nutini.  It’s a cracker >

With the band’s second EP release ‘Fool Me Twice’ available on April 22, they now look forward to releasing their debut album later this year, supported by UK & European shows.

We’re also a massive fan of Wild Ones, check it out >
