With a sound that hits you like a punch in the nose, “Shame” from London’s Storms is a song that is going to earn the band a lot of new fans. The track is paired with a provocative video that racked up an impressive 30,000 views within its first week of release.
Formed in 2013, the four piece have honed in on a 90s influenced grunge sound, and built on that adding layers from more contemporary influences. Comparisons with bands such as Peace and Drenge are certainly not unfair and Storms will be hoping to achieve similar levels of success.
You can tell that Storms spend a great deal of time working on their craft. The anthemic chorus in “Shame” was written to be shouted back at the band by thousands of adoring fans.
We’re looking forward to seeing what the future holds for Storms.
