New Music: Fickle Friends

Type into Fickle Friends into the Facebook search bar and you get two options. One a page dedicated to friends who are fickle, and two, one of the most exciting new pop bands this country has produced.

With a 80s inspired sound, Brighton’s Fickle Friends don’t take their time in lodging their tunes firmly in your brain. One listen to ‘Could Be Wrong’ and I was instantly hooked. Lead singer Natti’s vocals forever consigned to reverberate around my ears. An absolute corker of a song.

Live is where the band really excels. You attend not so much a gig but the best house party you’ve ever been to and everyone you know has been invited. Impressively filling out venues such as The Barfly and Dingwalls, both in Camden you get a sense watching Fickle Friends that they are destined for much bigger things.

2016 could be the year the band really breaks out and become the name on everyone’s lips. Hopefully we’ll see the release of a debut full length which by this time next year could well be topping everyone’s year end best of lists. The band recently dropped the video for ‘Say No More’ and if we weren’t impatient already, now we’re on the edge. It’s pure pop magic and turns perfect for turning a bad mood into a good one. The video also doesn’t disappoint.

Let Fickle Friends into your life and you will not be disappointed.
