Queen Tut’s – King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut, Glasgow
Queen Tut’s will see iconic Glasgow venue King Tut’s renamed for the day, with a show featuring live sets from up and coming acts including The Vegan Leather, The Van T’s and Scarlett Randle.
On the day of the gig, March 8, a free ‘Women in Music’ panel discussion will take place from 2pm to 4pm featuring Stina Tweeddale of Scottish band Honeyblood and Denise Allan of Glasvegas.
Carmen Souza – Green Note, London
In a special show for International Women´s Day, Carmen Souza together with her long-time bass player, composer/producer Theo Pascal and drummer Elias Kacomanolis perform songs from their own repertoire together with music from some of the most important and iconic female voices in the History of Music. From Cesária Évora, Billy Holiday to Nina Simone to Miriam Makeba.
Madison McFerrin + S4U + Raheaven – Jazz Café, London
Jazz Café link back up with gal-dem to once again celebrate International Women’s Day with a triple bill of rising stars headed by Madison McFerrin.
Joining her on the bill are 90s R&B influenced duo S4U and North London newcomer Raheaven.
SHE PWR – Deaf Institute, Manchester
Deaf Institute present an International Women’s Day celebration with a genre mash-up of the best in Manchester’s forward-thinking female virtuoso’s, taking over their music hall on Friday 8th March. They will be kicking off proceedings with some alternative Electronica from soloist Greta AKA Current Mood Girl and some dazzling 60s jangle pop from new to the scene Julia Bardo (Working Men’s Club). Heading this exceptional line up are Post-Punkers ILL, who released their debut album with critical acclaim last year & all-girl Grunge band Witch Fever, who will rattle your bones with their heavy riffs and blood curdling shriek vocals.

Fortune Feimster – Soho Theatre, London
One of comedy’s fastest rising stars, Fortune Feimster heads to Soho Theatre to make her UK debut.
A stand-up comedian, writer and actor, Fortune first made a name for herself on Chelsea Lately, before going on to star as Nurse Collette in The Mindy Project and the Netflix series Champions. Named by Variety as 1 of their 10 Comics to Watch, Fortune has appeared on Conan, @midnight, in her own Comedy Central special and her 30 minute stand up special ‘The Stand Ups’ was released on Netflix in 2017 to rave reviews. Fortune is currently one of the most high-profile LGBTQ stand ups in America.
