George Ezra has announced details of his forthcoming second studio album Staying At Tamara’s, due for release on 23 March 2018. The Bristol singer has also announced he’ll be heading out on tour to support the release. Here are all the details you need to know…
Who is George Ezra?
George Ezra is one of the biggest selling UK artists of the last decade. His debut album Wanted On Voyage, released in summer 2014 spent over 122 weeks in the UK album chart across 2014 and 2015, and has won the young Bristolian a legion of fans and plaudits all across the globe. Undeniably, the biggest single from the record is the ultra-catchy “Budapest,” (listen below) a love song not actually about the Hungarian city of the same name. Sold-out shows and main-stage festival appearances followed before George took a well-earned break to work on music for the follow-up, which after what might have felt like a lifetime wait, is now just around the corner for his fans.
His new album Staying At Tamara’s is due for release on 23 March and George has just dropped the lead single from the record, “Paradise” (you can listen to the track below). Staying At Tamara’s was written in a similar style to Wanted On Voyage, in various locations across the globe including a converted cowshed in North Wales, a pig farm in Norfolk and an Airbnb in Barcelona, owned by Tamara of the album’s title. George plays his first show of the year on 31 January, in the intimate surroundings of Shoreditch Town Hall. The event is predictably sold-out, so if you’ve missed your chance, make sure you don’t sleep on tickets for his upcoming headline tour this Spring…
