South West Four life.
Who said festivals should be exclusively a summer thing? Not us that’s for sure! SWN Festival returns this October, taking over Cardiff’s most wonderful venues and we can’t bloody wait. Here’s all the info you need to know.
What’s it all about then?
SWN is Welsh for noise or sound. It’s an award-winning multi-venue festival in the heart of Cardiff, with the aim of bringing their favourite exciting artists to an enthusiastic city of music-lovers.
This year will be its 13th year and will take place from Friday 18 to Sunday 20 October 2019.
Here’s last year’s highlight video to give you an idea of what to expect:
Where’s it happening?
The festival takes place across Cardiff city centre’s most loved music venues, pub function rooms, pop up cafe bars and empty spaces.
The Comet Is Coming bring their mind-bending psychedelic jazz to Cardiff.
Local hero Gruff Rhys shares his melodic thoughts on the state of the modern world.
TicketWeb faves Easy Life bring their laid back tunes to the Welsh capital.
Self Esteem will perform her bubbly, experimental pop.
Also appearing over the weekend will be Pigs, Pigs, Pigs, Pigs, Pigs, Pigs, Pigs, Bill Ryder Jones, Saint Agnes, VISTAS, Flamingods and loads more to be announced soon.
I want in! SWN Festival sounds ace and I want a ticket.
We’ll see you there! Tickets are available now through TicketWeb
