Festival Guide: Rip It Up, Edinburgh

Local promoters Nothing Ever Happens Here bring an all-dayer with a mega line-up to Edinburgh's Summerhall in June.

Based in Edinburgh? Love supporting local music? Then Rip It Up is a day that you cannot miss!

What’s Rip It Up all about then?

The all-day festival is taking place on Saturday 23 June and is part of Summerhall’s Southern Exposure – a ten-day series of events and live music taking place outside the popular city centre artspace.

Rip It Up celebrates some of the best and diverse music produced north of the border in recent years. It also coincides with the opening of the Rip It Up exhibition at National Museum of Scotland, which is exhibiting over 300 objects dedicated to the history of Scottish pop music and features items on loan from Garbage, Bay City Rollers, Simple Minds and more!

Where’s it happening?

Under the lush Edinburgh summer sky in the venue’s courtyard.

Who’s playing?

Local hip-hop makers (and friends of TicketWeb) Stanley Odd

Dundee pop-maker Be Charlotte

Indie-impresario Emma Pollock
