Festival Guide: Independent Venue Week 2018

Everything you need to know about Independent Venue Week 2018...

This year’s Independent Venue Week takes place between Monday 29 January and Sunday 4 February, celebrating the role grassroots music venues play in the UK music industry…

What’s Independent Venue Week Then?

Simply put, Independent Venue Week is a seven day series of shows, taking place in various independent music venues across the UK. The series is supported by Arts Council England, and aims to bring everyone together who’s vital to the success of these venues, whether that be artists, venue operators, promoters, booking agents, press, labels and most importantly the punters that these venues rely on. Without these venues, it’s unlike we’d have artists like Adele, Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran touring stadiums across the globe right now.

Where’s it happening?

Over 160 venues across the country are taking part this year including… Moles in Bath, The 100 Club in London, Wedgewood Rooms in Portsmouth, Ramsgate Music Hall, The Joiners in Southampton, Soup Kitchen and Night & Day in Manchester, Brudenell Social Club in Leeds, The Boileroom in Guildford, Clwb Ifor Bach in Cardiff and loads more!
