Portland indie-rockers The Dandy Warhols celebrate their 25th year as a band with a run of UK shows in winter 2019. Want to find out how to get your tickets? Keep reading…

With nine studio albums and 28 single released under their belt, The Dandy Warhols are one of the most respected and influential power pop-rock bands to come out of the ’90s. The band released their debut album Dandys Rule OK in 1995, but it was their follow-up, 1997’s …The Dandy Warhols Come Down which brought them to widespread attention to the UK public. The record, the band’s first on Capitol Records features the single “Not If You Were The Last Junkie On Earth” received a 4-star review from Rolling Stone and peaked at number 16 on the UK albums chart. The band are perhaps best known on UK shores for their unbelievably catchy 2000 single “Bohemian Like You.” The track, written by frontman Courtney Taylor-Taylor about a woman pulling up at traffic lights outside his apartment was used extensively by Vodafone in their UK TV adverts between 2001 and 2004. The track became a hit single in the UK, charting at number five on the official singles chart. The music video for the song courted controversy, as it contains both male and female nudity and was rarely broadcast on daytime TV. Watch a clean version of the video below:

Although the band have now been together for a quarter of a century, they show no signs of slowing down. Their last album Distortland was released in 2016 to favourable reviews and they’ve been hitting the road and playing festivals consistently over the years, picking up a new generation of fans along the way. Their 25th anniversary shows are going to be a defiant celebration of everything that’s brilliant about The Dandy Warhols and we can’t wait…
