Clean Cut Kid Made Us A Mixtape!

Clean Cut Kid have a got a massive tour coming up in October but it’s not like they’ve got the summer off! They’ll be supporting The Killers at British Summer Time in Hyde Park on the 8th of July and this Saturday (July 1st) they play the N4 Stage at Community Festival. As if they didn’t have enough to do, we made them send us their tour bus mixtape. But it’s a cracker so we don’t feel too bad! Enjoy!

Pinegrove – Old Friends
These were a new discovery for us this year and we’ve rinsed their entire back catalogue in the van. Good for the post festival, sun going down over the horizon, contemplative drive home.

Muna- Loudspeaker
Big tune, feels good playing loud in the van on the way to a show.

War on Drugs- Red Eyes
Even though we don’t know what he’s singing, ever, we still love this band and this track so much.

Arcade Fire- Keep The Car Running
One of our favourite bands of all time and this songs good for a gang vocal sing-a-long.

Get Inuit- Teriyaki
This was one of our most played van songs over the last tour. They also supported us on that tour so we got to hear it live every night too which was a TREAT.

Tears for fear- Shout
The best thing about Tears For Fears is their records sound boss on pretty much any system! Perfect for our flabby old van speakers.

Bon Iver- 715-CREEKS
The new record has been on repeat in the van. This track is particularly moving for the sheer amount of Sub-bass and power on the vocal. Such a unique and original sound.

The Beatles- Paperback Writer
The Beatles are Mike’s song-writing go-to, and Paperback Writer in particular will have any tired van bouncing off the walls!

Lemon Twigs- As Long as We’re Together
Take the harmonic arranging of late 60’s Beatles, and add the raucous recordings of Exile on Mainstreet and you’ll be somewhere close to the mastery The Lemon Twigs have achieved on this record.
