Arctic Monkeys announce London dates for May 2014!

The Arctic Monkeys have had a comeback year like no other. With their fifth studio album, AM, going straight in at number one in the UK album charts and hitting number six on the US Billboard 200, a string of festival performances including a headline set at Glastonbury, which earned them a nomination for Headliner of the Year at the UK Festival Awards (as well as a nomination for Anthem of the Summer for ‘Do I Wanna Know?’) and now the news that the Sheffield-born lads will be playing not one, but TWO massive dates at London’s Finsbury Park on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th May 2014! EXCITING!

It seems a long time ago since The Arctic Monkeys burst on to the scene back in 2005 with the release of their debut album, Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not. Spawning lifetime faves such as I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor, Fake Tales Of San Francisco and Mardy Bum, Alex Turner cemented his place as a hugely talented lyricist and voice of the Indie Cindy generation. Since 2005, The Arctic Monkeys have undeniably become a staple in the UK music scene, as well as finding success over the pond in the US. in 2012, they were asked to participate in the Olympic Opening Ceremony which celebrated all that was great and good in British culture, performing I Bet You Good On The Dancefloor and a cover of The Beatles’ Come Together, alongside a cast that included legends such as Paul McCartney, The Who and Fatboy Slim!

Tickets for these monumental dates go on sale on Friday 22nd November at 10am, make sure you’re here first Get tickets on TicketWeb!
