Festival Guide: Hope & Glory Festival

Brilliant bands, decadent Victorian carnival atmosphere, outrageous sideshows… All your Hopes and dreams have come true – we give you Liverpool’s new favourite festival in all its Glory.

What’s Hope & Glory Festival then?

HOPE & GLORY is Liverpool’s brand new summer festival coming to the city centre in August. The two-day festival is a stylish yet artistically subversive boutique festival offering an edgy, sophisticated and surreal experience bringing an abundance of music and entertainment for the whole family to watch, enjoy and discover some of the best talent in music and art.

Where’s it happening?

It’s taking place on the weekend of August 5th – 6th in Liverpool’s City Centre, set behind St.George’s Hall, in St John’s Gardens and William Brown Street. This is where the 12,500 fans can enjoy the festival while indulging in the stunning Victorian backdrop of the World Museum and City Library in a specially created arena. All within a few hundred yards walk of the main Lime Street train station.

Who’s playing?

The line-up includes James and the 70-piece orchestra Hacienda Classical, with fellow Mancunian special guests Shaun Ryder, Bez and Tim Booth. Other top name acts such as Ocean Colour Scene and Public Service Broadcasting  as well as some of the best up & coming talent will be in attendance. Check out the full line up poster below.
