Listen: Scottish Album of The Year Award Shortlist

It’s that time of year again folks! The best album by a Scottish artist released in the last 12 months will be chosen this Wednesday at The Scottish Album of the Year award ceremony in Glasgow.

The SAY Award is a prestigious arts prize produced by the Scottish Music Industry Association (SMIA). Boasting a lucrative £20,000 prize for the winner and nine runner up prizes of £1,000 each, the award celebrates, promotes and rewards the most outstanding Scottish albums released each year.

A longlist of 20 albums has been whittled down to the current 10 album shortlist by a combination of a judging panel selection and public vote. It’s over to the judges to select this year’s winner on Wednesday at Paisley Town Hall.

The standard is always set incredibly high and 2017 is no different. Below are the ten albums that have made it on to the SAY award shortlist this year. They’re all amazing albums, we’re struggling to pick our favourite, can you?
