Venue Guide: Hangar

Keeping Hackney's nightlife alive with the best late night raves and cutting-edge acts. No messing about here, it's about to get very sweaty.

Not been to Hangar yet?  We’ve got your back, check out our complete guide right here.

Address – 2 – 18 Warburton Road, London, E8 3FN

Telephone Number – 020 3409 3637

Brief History –Directly underneath Wringer and Mangle in Hackney’s creative hub, Hangar was originally a Victorian laundry building and evolved into various art spaces and venues before becoming the epic party destination it is today. It’s exactly what a late night venue should be; a fuss-free industrial space concentrating on the quality of the music rather than over-the-top gimmicks.

How many people does it hold?

Who has played there?

Hangar has hosted everything from future sci-fi experiences, music videos and seminars but main highlights include Kerri Chandler, Raresh, Crazy P, Tove Lo, Horse Meat Disco, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Mobb Deep and Roger Sanchez.

Have there been any “I was there” moments?

We chatted to the head honchos at the venue and sets from Justice and Chase and Status were mega.

How do I get there?

Bus – 388 | Overground – London Fields | Tube – Bethnal Green

Where should I eat?

Wringer and Mangle, directly above.  If it’s good enough for Professor Green…

These drinks tho 😍

Where can I stay?

We hear East London Hotel is THE best place to rest your head after a late night sesh.
