The railway arches at London Bridge are now home to Omeara – an awesome multi-purpose, live music venue. The venue provides a much-needed platform for emerging artists in a time where grass roots gig spaces are struggling to survive.

Not many new London venues have opened recently. An awful lot have closed but hardly any new venues emerged last year. Ben Lovett of Mumford & Sons had noticed this terrible trend of grass roots venues closing and decided to help reverse it by opening a venue of his own. Omeara was born in October 2016 and has been thriving ever since.
How many people does it hold?
Who has played there?
The Pretenders, Circa Waves, Lil Peep, The Maccabees, Kodaline, Maggie Rogers & loads more.
Have there been any “I was there” moments?
The Pretenders playing the Omeara opening party was something truly special.
How do I get there?
You’ve almost got too many options – depending on where you are travelling from London Bridge is accessible by ALL the public transport.
Where should I eat?
Borough Market: give yourself loads of time and arrive hungry AF, there’s every type of cuisine you can imagine here and free samples for days!
If you don’t fancy the hectic market buzz there’s plenty of beautiful restaurants along the river. Failing everything else…. Nandos for the win!
There’s a rooftop terrace so if the weather is alright – get there nice and early, avail of the comprehensive drinks selection and chill out on the roof before the show.
Where can you carry on the party?
Omeara has a late license so you may very well be better off staying in the venue after the show and dancing the night away.
