Meet the Glasgow based RnB multi-taskers that are about to strut into your life whether you like it or not…
Music’s a tough gig these days kids so you’ve gotta be a polymath. You know, you’ve gotta have other things g0ing on. Beyonce has her sports range, Kanye has his trainers, Billy Corgan from Smashing Pumpkins makes up story lines for TNA Wrestling and Willie Nelson has his own brand of weed! In the spirit of this, Bossy Love are made up singer-come-mechanical scientist Amandah Wilkinson (formally Operator Please) and ex Dananananaykroyd drummer/ BBQ restaurateur John Baillie Jnr.
This is some crazy RnB that really gets the blood pumping and the chest bumping. In fact, we reckon Bossy Love have the soundtrack to an entire night out from the leaving work / last day of school euphoria of Body…
…to the brand new club kicking out anthem “Wind Me Up”. This track was released today and it’s a cracker:
The powerful pair were picked up by BBC Music in the summer and were invited along to play Glastonbury. Check out Bossy Love performing their newest single “Call Me Up” on the BBC Introducing stage:
Bossy Love know what a party should sound like. John Ballie is making Hip Hop beats that we reckon any established giant of the rap game would be delighted to ryhme over while Amandah Wilkinson has the kind of in-your-face swagger that all aspiring pop stars crave so, so badly. She makes it look and sound so easy – I can promise you that it’s not.
Bossy Love are coming south of the border to play a headline show in London this October. All of you Scotts don’t need to worry though, the duo are also playing two shows on home soil.
