Taking their name from the 1972 song by glam heroes T-Rex, Baby Strange are one of the most exciting new rock bands to emerge from Glasgow’s music scene in recent years.
Formed in 2012, the three-piece have been winning fans with their swaggering riffs and choruses on songs like “Pleasure City” and their brand new single “Pure Evil” which side-swipes at the seedy hedonism of a Friday night out. Baby Strange picked up a Great X-pectations for 2016 nod from Radio X and recently headlined a Club NME / BBC Introducing show at London’s Koko. The alt-indie rock crown will surely soon be theirs.
The band are a must-listen for fans of Wolf Alice, Peace and Swim Deep. Catch the guys at the Isle of White Festival and Electric Fields this summer and look out for new music and a headline tour later this year.
