Supporting them at their forthcoming London gig will be rising punk stars Matt Grocott & The Shrives. Hailing from the music mecca of Grantham (ok, that was a little exaggeration), the band formed after frontman Matt Grocott and lead guitarist Josh Horsfall recorded a full-length album at Jingletown Studios in Oakland, California in March 2014. Featuring Joey Armstrong of Emily’s Army on drums, produced by his old man (the legendary Bille Joe Armstrong) and recorded by Grammy Award-winning engineer Chris Dugan, the band are in pretty good hands and a sure fire bet for future punk rock stardom.
Check out their first single “Turn Me On”, which gained mainstream music press coverage from Kerrang!, Rock Sound and NME.
Fancy catching both bands in London? Well they’re playing Camden’s Proud on Friday 16 October and you can get tickets right here!
