Sunfall music festival returns to Brockwell Park for its second year. The date has changed but it’s more of the same in terms of putting on a poppin’ party.
What’s Sunfall then?
It’s a one – day music festival taking place on the 12th of August in Brockwell Park London. The whole days entertainment will be sound tracked by the best DJ’s, producers, performers and beat makers around. Sunfall is all about high quality sound and like-minded revellers getting down to all sorts of dance friendly genres. It’s a celebration of the underground and the edgy line up is cool as fuck.
It’s organised by the good people behind London clubs XOYO, The Nest and Phonox as well as long running Croatian festivals Outlook and Dimensions. They know a thing or two about hosting a get-together. They aim to gather compatible characters from all walks of life, who are on the same buzz and offer them something a little different. The second Sunfall festival follows this road map – where attendees party together all day at the festival site then scatter across the city to bespoke after parties headlined by acts from the festival billing.
So here’s the deal; secure your ticket and commit to a night session when you get it. Mix it up in the field with fellow party people from 12pm til 10pm or until the sun falls …. See what I did there? Smart. Then shoot off on your merry way to the London club where said night session is on. Party til the AM. Bob’s your uncle, roll on Sun Fall 2018.
Where’s it happening?
Brockwell Park in South London during the day, various venues in London at night. These include Corsica Studios, Phonox, Jazz Cafe, Village Underground, Mangle E8, Five Miles, Brixton Electric, Brixon Jamm and XOYO.
The main thing you will notice when attending Sunfall is the quality of the sound oozing from each speaker in every single tent. The organisers pride themselves on perfect production. Yes, the main focus of Sunfall is the music but they have added some unique value to it.
You can shop for records on site! Yep, browse through an extensive record collection in between visits to the pit. There is also a tent dedicated to music focused educational talks and presentations on the day. There’ll be plenty to do on site during the day but if I were you I would try and see as much of this unique line up as possible.
Sunfall’s music policy reflects the many sounds of the city and beyond spanning jazz, electronica, house, hip hop, dubstep, techno, soul, drum & bass and disco. Each set is nice and long so you can see a bit of everyone if you so please. Full line up and stage times at the bottom of the page.
Legend of the game Larry Heard aka Mr Fingers headlines: It’s his first live show in London in 20 years!
Massive Cali – born producer/Dj/MC Madlib is not one to miss.
Motor City Drum Ensemble aka Danilo Plessow the German house producer and DJ will be spinning tracks sandwiched between Floating Points and Roy Ayers on the main stage…. It doesn’t get much better than that.
It’s not all DJ’s, New York rapper Princess Nokia will light the place up with her East coast Hip – Hop.
Ben UFO, Horse Meat Disco, Yussef Kamaal, Jackmaster and loads more will be doing day and night time shifts. Pick an after party when you grab your ticket.
I want in! Sunfall sounds sweet and I want a ticket.
